NFA and Non-NFA FIREARM TRANSFERS
FIREARM TRANSFERS
Transferring your firearm through Viper Arms is easy. In the state of Colorado, whenever a firearm is purchased online from a licensed dealer or private citizen through an auction site, or even in person between private parties who are not immediate family (even if no money changes hands), it must be sent to or transferred through an FFL (licensed dealer) before the buyer or transferee can legally take possession of the firearm.
We are a registered dealer who can handle all of your non-NFA and NFA firearms needs. Please keep in mind that once we receive the firearm it may take a day or two to process the transfer. Also please keep in mind that in today’s market with so many new firearms purchasers, the CBI system may take a few days to process your background check.
Please bring a valid Colorado Driver’s License or other approved, non-expired ID. If your government issued ID doesn’t have your current address, ensure you have another form of identification with your current address or something from a government agency to prove your address. Example: Military ID or passport with a vehicle registration card or hunting license. See the ATF Website for acceptable identification.
$30 per firearm for transfers
$20 for military and first responders
$50 for NFA transfers
(Note: Prices include the state of Colorado charge of $10.50 per background check)
